Domestic cleaning – to make your life easier

The Housekeeper was created with one very simple vision in mind, making life easier for our customers. We understand that every household is different and whilst we all take pride in our home, in today’s busy climate we would rather spend as much time as possible pursuing the things in life that make us happy rather than being stuck cleaning and doing other household chores.

What we can offer you

We offer a completely bespoke, fully guaranteed, cleaning service centered around maintaining the cleanliness of your home for you. However, we can also manage all the other housekeeping jobs that you just haven’t got round to or don’t have the time to do such as washing, ironing, cleaning your windows or taking receipt of your shopping and deliveries. Our list of services is not exhaustive and we will try to assist you with any aspect of managing your home.

The Housekeeper currently provides cleaning services to customers based in the counties of Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. We care about the local communities in which we operate and try to give back whenever we can. It is for this reason that we dedicate some of our resource to helping local community initiatives and charities. Who we are

The Housekeeper was the vision of Rob Wright and Dion Alday and we both have a passion for delivering a service that exceeds our customers expectations. We understand the importance of listening to what a customer needs and have all the skills and dedication to turn those needs into a first class service that we will always deliver.

Our days start and finish in our homes and they form a fundamental part of life and are individual to each and every one of us. We both lead busy working lives and really enjoy spending our free time with our children, families, friends and pets too. Like most of you we believe this time with family and friends is precious. Equally important is making time to pursue hobbies or just finding time to relax.

It is for this reason that we have both used domestic cleaning services before. There are lots to choose from but our experiences have mostly been disappointing for many reasons including flexibility, reliability and above all service. This is where the idea for The Housekeeper was born and based on our values, ethics and over 35 years combined experience in delivering excellent services to customers, we are confident that we can offer you a competitively priced service that you will not be disappointed with, a service that is simply ‘making life easier’.

Our staff

Your home is precious and we understand there is a great deal of trust involved when letting someone new into your property.  All Housekeeper employees are fully CRB checked and employment referenced before they start working for us.  What’s more we continue to train them and monitor their standards for the duration of their employment with us. Our aim is to provide you with the highest standards of service and cleanliness and we will work with you to ensure our staff always deliver to your expectations.

We will always aim to provide you with the same Housekeepers throughout your time as a customer.  This is to ensure you get the consistent standards and service that can only come from using the same housekeepers for each visit as they will fully understand your particular requirements.  Naturally, there may be occasions where it is not possible to use the same housekeeper and we will always work with you to ensure you receive the same high level of service from other members of our team.

All our housekeepers and cleaners go through an induction programme upon joining The Housekeeper to ensure they meet our service standards before visiting any of our customers.  Whilst we will always take the upmost care of your property, we are also fully insured in the event of any accidents that may occur whilst cleaning your home.
